Verbal, BoA and Crystal Kay hit the studio

Verbal, BoA & Crystal Kay in the studioBoA hit the studio with Verbal of M-Flo and The Teriyaki boys and my future second wife Crystal Kay to record the song "Universe", which will release as BoA's triple A-side single alongside the songs "Eien" and an acoustic version of a song she featured on, titled "Believe in love".

I'm only excited about this song because I dig Verbal and stan for Crystal like a mo' fo'. I can't see how BoA and Crystal's voice could mix and sound nice. BoA's voice is so crusty and Crystal's is so pretty and smooth. But Verbal's work with these ladies in the past has yielded blazing hot results. With any luck BoA will get overshadowed by Verbal's rapping and Crystal will lace her shit so good that BoA won't even matter.

BoA's new triple A-side single releases on February 18, so we'll get to hear the result of this collaboration real soon...

Thanks to Frederick for the heads up on this!

  3. She's definitely got it going on! She needs to gon' head and do a western release. With her looks and voice, she might be able to have an impact over here.

I gotta agree with Federick as well, CK is too sexy!

The Teriyaki boyz new album isn't all that great. Quite a few of the songs have already been released as singles, so not a great deal os new. Folk in the west who haven't followed them may dig it. But for those who've followed their singles; not much will be new to them. I think their debut is much better to be honest. I'll try to get reviews of them up soon though.

As for Crystal. You can marry her Frederick, but just know I'll homewreck that shit like it's a #1 hobby. *lol* ;P She is hella fine though. She looks more black than Japanese in her candid pics. Especially in comparison to how she got lightened the HELL out of her for her Color change! promo's. I wonder what was up with that? That album title weren't lying. Color change! indeed! Whether she light or dark in a picture: Crystal looks fine errrrrday of the week.

I doubt she'll ever release in the US. Crystal (as we know) is the absolute shit and shuts down other chicks in Japan when it comes to the music. Shoot, she shuts down chicks worldwide! Plus, she's speaks fluent English (which always helps!) But she's not a big seller in Japan. So, until she starts to push serious units in Japan, I doubt her people will ever consider having her embark on a US release. Even though she'll have a great shot; with her sound and image already being at a level where transitioning wouldn't even be a thing.

I stay hating that Color change! didn't get a release on the US and UK iTunes. That could've been the gateway for her getting mad exposure in the west and set the ball rolling. "It's a crime" had so much potential to be a hit single.
